The FQblog brings you a great picture of the content available at FQworship.com. Today’s post is from the Themes section.
The Themes section at FQworship.com is designed to assist you in planning a worship service around a central theme or message. Our goal is that it will help bring a fresh look at attributes that define a Christian walk. These themes may be the topic of a Bible study, a sermon, a word study or simply a personal study.
Each theme at FQworship.com includes a definition, a closer insight on the word itself, scripture references and a list of songs that include that theme. Our desire is that this will assist you in creating environments where people can experience genuine worship.

Be Still
remaining in a place of rest.

Insight
Pursuing God in this life can be difficult. Stress and busyness seem to take over and there is little time left to spend with God. Jesus knew all about this during His ministry on earth, but made a point of spending quiet, still times with His Father. Take a moment now to be still and listen.

Lord, teach me to listen. The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sounds which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, ‘Speak, for thy servant heareth.’ Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of the earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking voice. Amen.
- Pursuit of God, A.W. Tozer

Worship and be still before God
Let us meditate on You today Lord God. Let everything that is going on in our lives fade as we eagerly wait to hear from You. We long to hear from You. Our hearts are still and our souls are quiet. We find rest and restoration in Your presence. Lead us, Dear Lord, by the still waters-for Your namesake.

Creator
to own authorship or to have created something or someone.

Insight
Life began with God- the creator of heaven and of earth.  When comparing the story of creation in Genesis 1 with the New Testament account in John 1, it is interesting to note that the account in Genesis speaks of life and light while John echoes this account and makes ready to tell the story of Jesus and the opportunity for new life through His Light. His creation also reveals His glory and His power.

The more I study nature, the more I am amazed at the Creator.

Worship our Creator
When we consider the works of your fingers- the moon and the stars…what a God you are!  You created us from the beginning and even before you laid the foundation of the earth, you knew our names.  Creator God, there is none like You!  Thank you for your display of power and greatness, let us never forget the thoughtfulness, the genius, the power of You, our Creator.
